MAIA Consortium Meets to Select Students for Next Edition

The consortium of the Erasmus Mundus Master’s program in Medical Imaging and Applications (MAIA) met in the Spanish capital on March 1 and 2 to select the students who will be part of the next edition of the program.

The Selection Meeting was attended by representatives of the academic institutions that make up the consortium: the University of Girona (UdG, Spain), the University of Bourgogne (uB, France) and the Università degli Studi di Cassino e del Lazio Meridionale (UNICAS, Italy).

During the meeting, the pre-selected candidates for the MAIA program were selected. The selection process included a thorough review of the candidates’ applications. The selection committee members evaluated not only the candidates’ academic records but also their language skills.

The MAIA program is designed to prepare students for careers in research and development of artificial intelligence technologies and in areas that apply these technologies, such as medicine, education, and industry.

Students selected for the MAIA program can study at various prestigious European institutions, gaining broad academic and cultural experience. In addition, selected students will receive a scholarship that covers tuition fees and provides economic support for their stay in Europe. In summary, the MAIA program’s meeting in Madrid was a resounding success, and we are excited to welcome the next cohort of students.
